Join our ever-growing, multicultural team of dynamic and fun event professionals, who are dedicated to delivering high touch meetings, conferences and events for a large base of international corporate customers. Work in a friendly, supportive environment that nurtures growth and creativity and values relationships within the team and with their customers. As Event Executive you will be a key pillar in a leading European event management company, independently project managing events and conferences for international customers, from creative conception to event logistics and post-event support.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and acknowledge RFP’s in a professional and timely manner
  • Create a customized proposal presentation and cost estimate depending on client requirements and travel period
  • Familiarize yourself with the various hotels, venues, restaurants and activities possible in Malta and build strong relationships with supplier contacts and be on the lookout for new venue/ activity possibilities
  • Diligently chase pending requests ensuring the best possible conversion to confirmed business
  • Support the Events Manager with all pre-planning before the event including creating a detailed working document, menu selection, liaison with suppliers, booking of transportation etc for each group
  • Support the Events Manager with the operation of the group
  • Convert business leads to confirmed business
  • Support the Events Manager with issuing the final invoice and collection of outstanding balance after the event with client as well as final invoices with all suppliers involved
  • Post event follow up and feedback

Qualifications

  • Minimum secondary level of education
  • Any hospitality qualification would be considered a plus

Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel management, food & beverage, hospitality or events preferred
  • Previous experience in sales desirable

Skills

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have the ability to work independently to manage projects responsibly as well as part of a team
  • Be customer orientated and have an outgoing personality
  • Have a professional appearance
  • Be sales-oriented
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft office applications and Office 365
  • Have an excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, fluency in any other languages would be considered an asset
  • Be flexible to work after business demand
